This project was inspired by a school reunion. It is based on a 1956 community telephone directory from Ingram, Pa., an older suburb of Pittsburgh, where the artist grew up. In those days the phone numbers were prefixed by a word like "Walnut" and families were listed under the man's name, with the wife's name in parentheses and the children's names in age order. Each Ingram family was cut out and placed on the map. The piece incorporates mixed media, text and collage.
