A blend of wit, nostalgia, and morbidity underscores the artwork of Susan Linnet Cox. Since her childhood in Pittsburgh, Susan has lived in Baja, Mexico and many parts of the U.S. including Ohio, Oregon, Florida, and, most of the time, California. The light and colors, whether bright or dark, influenced the depth and scope of Susan's artwork. An interest in maps and geography goes hand in hand with such travel. Her series of boxes and Geography Tubes are the result of years of transitions.

She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kent State University and has worked as a waitress, teacher, graphic designer, and art director of fashion photo shoots. Susan presently is a photo stylist and producer of photo shoots. Her styling and production company, Cox Productions has worked with catalogs, magazines, home products, and sports companies.

After completing her 2006 book about the career, "Photo Styling," she has focused on training new and mid-career stylists about the career. Through her site, Photo Styling Workshops, she and other working professionals throughout the U.S. teach online classes to share the profession worldwide. Susan has developed and teaches a college course, Fashion Photo Styling, at San Diego Mesa College. She lives in San Diego, is married to Gary F. Cox, and has an adult daughter, Elizabeth.
